Drug Testing Policy
Drug testing may be required for medication monitoring, MAT participation, clinical review, or ongoing care.
Testing Window
Drug tests must be completed within 72 hours of receiving the testing notification unless the office provides different written instructions.
Patients should check whether their insurance covers the requested testing. If testing is not covered, or if another issue prevents completion, patients should contact the office as soon as possible to discuss alternate arrangements.
Notification
Patients may receive an email notification and may also be contacted directly by Nurse Cooper or the office team.
Communication
If there is a problem completing the test within the required window, patients must communicate with the office promptly.
Failure to Complete
If testing is not completed on time and no communication is received, the practice may take action, up to and including discharge from services.
